On 9 January 2026, Van der Avoird Trayplant will host an organised excursion to explain aspects of the European PlantGoed project. This day will be combined with a Delphy field trip, during which Van der Avoird Trayplant's various production facilities and cultivation techniques will be presented. 

The European PlantGoed project is an Interreg project (Flanders–Netherlands) that focuses on the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the year-round production of soft fruits, such as strawberries and raspberries. The central focus is on improving and refining tailor-made plant propagation techniques. The project aims to increase efficiency and sustainability within the soft fruit sector through system innovation, with a strong focus on local and regional cooperation between research, growers and other chain partners.

On Thursday 23 October, NED Personeel and v.d. Avoird Trayplant jointly organised a knowledge event on the theme of “The new temporary employment” from 1 January 2026.

The rules in the temporary employment sector will be significantly tightened from 2026 onwards. Equal terms of employment, the new pension scheme, the shortened phase system, the Flexible Workers (Greater Security) Act and the WTTA admission requirement. Naturally, this will also have consequences for Trayplant. What consequences? In any case, we are now well prepared. Partly thanks to the knowledge of NED Personeel.

What fantastic days they were! The two Open Days for our Paulownia tree exceeded all expectations. From the moment the first visitors arrived until the last visitor left the Rimpelaar, we were showered with compliments.

The tours were informative and engaging, with interesting facts about the growth and care of the Paulownia. The presentations on CO2 credits, wood yields, cultivation techniques and sustainable innovations made a big impression.

During Energy Day on 24 January, RES celebrated successes together with all stakeholders and worked together to build the energy system of tomorrow. 

The strawberry sector kicked off the year in style with the annual Strawberry Day at the Brabanthallen. With nearly 800 participants, the event was a day full of fascinating presentations and networking opportunities. 

While world leaders gathered in Dubai for the annual climate summit, the event De Top van Onderop (The Top from the Bottom) showed that many people in the Netherlands are already working towards a sustainable future. 

On Monday, 6 November, we were honoured with a visit from outgoing Minister Piet Adema of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.

All nominations were assessed on their impact on the industry and society, originality, availability, realised turnover and growth potential.

The initiative to join forces in our area to improve the living environment for insects has already been very successful. 

This Friday is World Nature Conservation Day. (WND) is an international event held annually on 28 July. The day was established by the United Nations in 1972 to raise awareness of the need for nature conservation.

Holiday work has started!

In Koppert Cress's fossil-free greenhouse in Westland, Minister Piet Adema of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality presented us with the 2023 Horticultural Entrepreneur Award. Fantastic! 

GreenSwitch® Original is a 2-0-7 formulation, pure and transparent for high-tech fertigation in greenhouses and open fields. It is produced at the van Iperen factory in the Netherlands using a proven, near-zero carbon footprint production process, certified by the SNK (Stichting Nationale Koolstofmarkt) in accordance with the Paris Agreement (COP 21). The GreenSwitch process, based on Pure Green Agriculture Technology, is a circular process that contributes to the restoration of the nitrogen cycle by upcycling nitrogen from manure into a crystal-clear nitrate fertiliser.
